The swim is the first part of the triathlon.

The Swim features an out and back course leaving from a large boat dock and returning to a beach area. The course was marked with buoys and patrolled by lifeguards' canoes and kayaks. Water temperature was expected to be 78-80 degrees. 

The swim for this race was approx. .75K or 1/2 mile.  No, Ally cannot be seen here. She's already gone.

Part II: The bike ride

Ally participated in the 17th season of the Danskin Women's Triathlon Series, the largest and longest-running Series in multi-sport history! 

The bike course followed a route around the perimeter of Decker Lake.  The bike course is the second part of the race and runs approx. 20K or 12 miles.

The run course exits from the transition zone and follows a course along a grassy path through the park. 

The run for this race was approx. 5K or 3.1 miles
